Refresh expired links

What is link expiration?

Sometimes a download link remains valid for only few hours. If download is not completed within that time boundary, download will fail and you will get an error message ‘Download session is expired’.

XDM can resolve this problem using refresh link option. This option will be especially useful when download is captured using browser integration.

To refresh a download:

1. Right click on the download and select Refresh Link.

2. This will open a Refresh Link dialog box.

3. If the parent webpage is known to XDM (webpage containing the download link) then XDM will open the webpage, otherwise the webpage has to open manually.

4. Select the new download link from the webpage and paste it in ‘New download link’ field.

5. If the download was video download (YouTube etc), then play the video again. XDM media grabber will capture the video download link.

6. Select the appropriate video download link and click copy button from Media Grabber.

7. Paste the link into ‘New download link’ field of Refresh Link dialog.
